After working for six years with his human handler, Rico retired and moved to the United States. Now eight years old, MDD Rico works as the Canine Ambassador for the Marshall Legacy Institute. Rico visits schools and organizations to raise awareness of the humanitarian impact of landmines and to demonstrate how dogs like him are working every day to save lives. Proceeds from the sale of this book will be used to sponsor a life-saving mine detection dog.
