The Foreign Red: After losing the war, from a hellish stint in a French concentration camp and a treacherous escape through the south of France ending on the other side of the Atlantic, Arcadi founds La Portutuesa, a community in the middle of the jungle of Veracruz, Mexico, where they speak Catalán, grow coffee, and little by little start to hatch an idea: in order to be able to return to Spain, it’s essential to kill Francisco Franco. The Last Hour of the Last Day: In the hacienda called La Portuguesa, a Spanish family’s exile has lasted for years.
