Salvar a los clasicos del olvido, con la ayuda de grandes escritores de hoy. Este es el sentido de «Save the Story», una coleccion ideada por Alessandro Baricco. Los autores seleccionan las escenas mas emocionantes y significativas de los libros en cuestion y las interpretan con un lenguaje contemporaneo. Todos ellos con ilustraciones a cargo de disenadores de gran talento. Un objetivo basico es acercar los clasicos a las nuevas generaciones, pero es un proyecto pensado para toda la familia: para el lector culto, para uno mas perezoso, y sobre todo para que los padres lean el libro a los ninos a partir de seis anos. Y con la idea, quiza un poco loca, quiza sensata, de contar a los ninos del Tercer Milenio, empachados de television, internet y videojuegos, las historias que han fascinado a nuestros bisabuelos. This is the purpose of ""Save the Story"", a collection conceived by Alessandro Baricco, in the service of the Scuol Holden for future writers, that Baricco himself founded and directs, and published by the L'Espresso group. These books, in volumes of over a hundred pages, are the great stories of our universal literary heritage. Authors have chosen the most significant and exciting scenes of the books in question and have interpreted them in contemporary language. All of these stories are told using illustrations from very talented designers. The basic objective is to introduce the classics to the newer generations, but it is also intended for the whole family: for the highbrow reader, for the lazier reader, and above all for parents to read to their children from the age of six. The idea, perhaps a little mad, perhaps very sensible, is to tell children of the third millennium, hooked to the television, internet and video games, the stories that enchanted our great grandparents.
