Various immune cells play an important role in the pathology of asthma and especially the interaction of these players are causing the manifestation of the disease. This book gives a short overview of the pathomechanism of asthma and enables an interesting insight in the development of new therapeutic drugs. One way to improve the preclinical testing of newly developed anti-asthma drugs could be the using of a special mouse model. The specialities and advantages of this model are highlighted in this book.
