Lauren Mackay es una historiadora australiana especializada en la diplomacia del Renacimiento y la Europa Moderna Temprana. Obtuvo su licenciatura en música en el Conservatorio de Música de Sídney y una maestría en historia en la Universidad de Nueva Inglaterra, Nueva Gales del Sur. Posteriormente, completó su doctorado en la Universidad de Newcastle, Australia. Es miembro de la Royal Historical Society.

Entre sus obras destacadas se encuentra "Inside the Tudor Court: Henry VIII and his Six Wives through the eyes of the Spanish Ambassador" (2014), una biografía que ofrece una perspectiva única de la corte Tudor. También es autora de "Among The Wolves of Court: The Untold Story of Thomas and George Boleyn" (2018), una biografía que explora la vida de los hermanos Boleyn.
