Beverly Joubert nació en Sudáfrica en 1957. Comenzó su carrera fotográfica en la famosa región de Savute, en Botsuana, donde, junto con su esposo, el director de cine Dereck Joubert, comenzó a realizar películas de historia natural. Su trabajo ha aparecido numerosas veces en la revista National Geographic, así como en más de cien revistas de todo el mundo.
