Tanya Pearson es una historiadora oral, escritora y música estadounidense especializada en estudios de género y música alternativa. Es fundadora del Women of Rock Oral History Project, una colección de entrevistas digitales que documenta las trayectorias de mujeres en la música rock. Su primer libro, Why Marianne Faithfull Matters, fue publicado en 2021 por University of Texas Press. En enero de 2025, lanzó Pretend We're Dead: The Rise, Fall, and Resurrection of Women in Rock in the '90s, una obra que explora la presencia y el declive de las mujeres en el rock alternativo de los años 90.
