Michael Bond (1935-2017) fue un autor británico reconocido principalmente por su serie infantil Paddington Bear. Nacido en Londres, Bond comenzó su carrera como escritor después de trabajar en la BBC. Su primera obra sobre Paddington, titulada A Bear Called Paddington (1958), presentó al icónico oso peruano que vive con la familia Brown en Londres, y rápidamente se convirtió en un clásico de la literatura infantil. A lo largo de su carrera, Bond escribió más de 20 libros sobre este personaje, que han sido traducidos a varios idiomas.

Entre sus otras obras destacadas se encuentran Paddington at the Zoo (1959) y Paddington's Adventures (2008). Los libros de Bond, caracterizados por su estilo tierno y humorístico, han sido adaptados a películas y series de televisión.
