Adama had always been told that she was an "Old Soul," but she didn't need anyone to tell her. She grew up needing time alone to think. She often needed time alone to recharge. Her inner growth and journey were more important than anything in the outside world. Her reality wasn't bounded by the structures that limited reality for others. She knew it was time for some soul care. She felt as if she was suffocating from the inside out and her soul was crying for a change. She knew something was wrong in her life, but it wasn't like a physical pain. When your body hurts, you could pinpoint exactly what is damaged or injured. The ache in her soul was beginning to cause social, mental, spiritual, and at times even physical discomfort. The body serves our physical functionality. It's where we feel and decipher the sensations associated with taste, sight, smell, hearing, and touch senses. But our soul is what defines us as being human. It makes us feel emotions and set our limitations for right and wrong. But the Holy Spirit is a gift from God that came to us when Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven after atoning for our sins. The Spirit's gift is that which gives those who are believers, a connection to God. That is the good Spirit, but there are others, which can be negative. Adama knew there were things about her spiritual side that she was still discovering. But her mother and sister, Dalilah were helping her navigate the challenges she faced. She endeavored to learn how to manage and control the extraordinary gifts she had inherited.
