In the age of axiological pluralism, the Habermasian discussion ethic offers a rigorous yet inclusive framework for building a reasonable way of living together, based on dialogue. Based on the principles of "U" and "D", this ethic offers a method for building a society of understanding and inter-comprehension, where consensus is reached through the free participation of all interlocutors. And in the course of any dialogue or discussion, the force of the best argument will prevail over domination or veto. Based on the idea that the validity of moral standards depends on the consensus reached by the community on the necessity of these values for life in common, the ethics of discussion offers a procedure, rich in presuppositions, that guarantees the impartiality of judgment formation. Promoting freedom, equality, truth, sincerity and justice, discussion ethics encourages emancipation and social integration.
