THE POET'S PULPIT is the second collection of poetry written by Byrum C. Lee. An earlier collection of poems, FROM PREACHER TO POET, was published in 2009 and recently republished. In the past few years, Byrum's messages, have not been in the form of sermons given from a traditional pulpit, but have been delivered through the written page as expressed through poetry. This second volume of poetry, published at the age of 93, is a continuation of Byrum's desire to preach the Gospel through the printed word. Through the use of his new pulpit-his desktop computer-Byrum has been able to minister to many, by way of articles and poems in Christian publications, as well as through his two published books of poetry. In the two books of poems written by Byrum, are found hundreds of his poetic writings, most of which are based on Biblical teachings and stories, telling the Old, Old Story in modern rhyme. It is Byrum's hope and prayer that you will find in these writings both inspiration and challenge.
