The New American Macho - A Manifesto "No man in this country is saved from the overarching demand that he be macho. You can also find the new macho anywhere you are asked to "do no harm" - from the Hippocratic Oath to Buddhism. To do no harm is a compassionate stance. To live in brotherhood, treating others as you would prefer to have them treat you with an eye to do no harm is a compassionate philosophy which allows men to be virile in their humanity. The new chauvinism is imbued with glorious masculine power - a testosterone driven high of bonded attachment to protect life!"
