Steve, Matt, and Jenny are excited when their friend Tyrone gets them part-time jobs helping to set up a traveling carnival. Upon arriving at the carnival site, the trio learns that almost the entire crew had come down with food poisoning earlier in the week and that some of the equipment had somehow been damaged overnight.Believing the two events are related, the trio begins an investigation only to discover a mystery dating back thirty-five years involving a stolen diamond hidden somewhere on the carnival rides. As the detectives begin unraveling the clues to the hidden jewel, they discover a couple of the "temp" hires are also searching for the gem, both willing to do anything to get their hands on the treasure, including destroy the carnival.Determined to locate the diamond and help save the carnival, the kids race against time to find the hidden stone before the thugs find it and disappear forever.
