What you don't have the heart for, you don't have the hand for!Man's heart is the "Central Processing Unit" of his words, behaviours and conducts as are displayed to the world to see. We just see the man in action and wonder why and how? His heart is the source or root of all his outward displays!And so the Bible says in Prov. 23:7 that "For as he (man) thinks in his heart, so he is". In other words, a man or woman is outwardly what he or she really is inwardly; though he or she is capable of presenting a façade! A murderer is first one inwardly before he manifests this heinous crime outwardly. A fornicator fornicates first in the heart before he or she physically practicalizes the sinful act. Etc.When we talk of the heart of man, we are simply referring to his mind, his thought or mind-set, or the workings of his inner man. It talks of the seat of man's inmost thought and feelings. It has reference to the hidden thoughts, ideas, opinions, views, feelings, intentions, plans, desires, conclusions, etc. firmly hidden and knotted in the recess of the human mind. Only his speech, conduct, behaviour, countenance and demeanour can betray these to the outside world of the man! Otherwise, they are held up there, waiting to be manifested or to explode at the auspicious opportunity!In essence, behind every man's word, behaviour or action is a mind-set, aiming to achieve certain goals.The setting is the same in marriage relationship. Underlining all our words, conducts, behaviour and attitude towards our marriage and our spouses are certain right or wrong mindset or goal. In other words, what's in your heart towards or concerning your marriage or your spouse will dictate and determine what you say, how you behave and what you do or do not about it or him/her.But does every married person have the right or correct heart towards the sacred institution? Honestly, not so! My conclusion is based on the prevalent varying and very worrisome attitudes, conducts and even pronouncements of men and women out there, married or yet-to-be-married, concerning the God-ordained honourable estate called marriage. I have come about not a handful of such men and women, boys and girls like this in ministry.I honestly believe that many are married without "the mind of Christ" on marriage. It could even be proven by the so much ungodly attitudes and conducts of many married people that, of a truth, their mindsets are clearly at parallel with God's!Unfortunately, many out there who are aiming for this God-ordained and blessed institution are sadly at the risk of entering therein with factually faulty and very wrong spirit! How then could they ever realize the beautiful goals of marriage with such ugly mindset?In this book, I intend to share with you on this very important subject of the right heart for marriage. It's my hope that herein you'll discover and know how to cultivate God-type and God-centered mindset, heart or spirit for marriage. I'm convinced that it's only such a spirit that can produce glorious and blessed marriage relationship.
