The Groenendael is very sensitive; he needs a calm environment, fixed reference points and a firm education. His biggest flaw is that he can't really be a friend to his peers if not well educated. Regarding his family qualities, he can stay alone after a progressive education, he doesn't destroy things, he likes to travel, he can adapt perfectly, he doesn't bark excessively but can warn very well. However, this dog can become clingy and always look for someone to take care of him, especially females.
