The Gift (en Inglés) - James Black

A little rabbit. A very big dream. And a magical adventure that reveals the greatest gift of all.

Deep in the Carolina Forest lives Benny Rabbit. He may not be the biggest or fastest rabbit around, but no one works harder. More than anything, Benny dreams of becoming the greatest tunnel builder the forest has ever known.

Then one day, an old turtle arrives carrying a mysterious glowing map. It promises to lead Benny to a magical gift that could make his dream come true.

With his little shovel packed and his courage ready, Benny sets off across streams, hills and woodland trails. But along the way, something unexpected happens. Benny keeps stopping to help the animals he meets, finding a lost mitten, helping a squirrel store his food and guiding little ducks safely across a muddy path. And with every act of kindness, the mysterious map begins to glow brighter.

At the end of his journey, Benny discovers a golden shovel with an extraordinary power. Soon he is creating wonderful tunnels that keep families safe, give animals shelter and connect the whole forest.

But Benny eventually learns that the shovel was never the greatest gift. Warm, magical and full of heart, Benny Rabbit and the Gift of the Golden Tunnels is an uplifting children’s story about kindness, perseverance, helping others, believing in your dreams and discovering the special gifts already inside you.

A charming story for families to read together and a gentle reminder that the biggest dreams can begin with the smallest acts of kindness.
