Reseña del libro "The ENCROACHER Solution (en Inglés)"
The ENCROACHER SolutionSeeking The Answer To Survival. What would happen if someone from another planet came to Earth and began questioning the way we think, speak, work, and respond to life?Katie, the Encroacher KT from Psi Ursae Majoris, comes from a world where people are taught that life is largely determined by how you take it-not simply by what happens to you. When she encounters Earth and its people, she finds many of our beliefs difficult to understand. Why do humans believe they have a right to be angry? Why are people told to "let their anger out"? Why do we so often blame circumstances, other people, or even our own emotions for the way we respond to life? And why do Earthlings praise talent while giving less attention to the effort that develops it?Drawing on ideas from Alfred Korzybski's Science and Sanity, psychology, neuroscience, education, and the author's own observations, ENCROACHER SOLUTION takes a different look at the relationship between language, thought, emotion, and personal responsibility. On Katie's planet, words and attitudes are taken seriously. Certain expressions-such as "I deserve," "I need," "I must," and "you should"-can lead people toward what Majorian society considers a victim mindset. Instead, Majorian citizens are encouraged to take responsibility for their choices, their effort, and the mindset they bring to difficult circumstances.Katie is particularly puzzled by Earth's approach to success and failure. On Majoris, effort is highly valued. Humans, she discovers, often place greater emphasis on natural ability. To Katie, this is difficult to understand. If effort can change what a person is capable of becoming, why should talent receive all the attention? As she observes Earth, Katie begins to wonder whether some of humanity's problems are not caused by a lack of knowledge, but by the way people use language and interpret their experiences.Perhaps the real solution begins with something much closer than anyone expects: the words we choose, the thoughts behind them, and the responsibility we take for what comes next.Words don't mean; people mean. Please enjoy the visitor.Michael K.
