These stories all involve either love or fascination with a person, place or thing. The protagonists will act from the dictates of an inner tribunal. All are possessed of a separateness which defines themselves and their actions. In short, they insist and persist, like plants and animals do, in doing what they do, regardless of the formulas imposed by the World at large. They are pure, or involved in an act which will make them pure. And are, or so they like to think, prepared to undergo the consequences, which at times are whimsical or disastrous, epiphanous or entirely meaningless and deflating...
