The author, Dr. Jeff McNair, provides many interesting and challenging reflections on disability in particular, from a Christian perspective. This book will be helpful in guiding the development of ministries to and with persons with various disabilities. McNair contends that the Christian church is the answer to a variety of issues faced by people with impairments, not the least of which is integration into the local community. McNair calls the church to action in loving its neighbor, particularly those with disabilities. He believes that if Christians truly embraced people with disabilities, the Christian Church would be radically different than it currently is today.
