Spent is a curated collection of winning poems from amongst 200+ submissions received on this poetry writing prompt based on the theme of Erotica; contest held by WriteFluence from December 2020 - January 2021. WriteFluence features worthy authors and showcases their talent. We believe in building authors into brands and giving aspiring writers the opportunity to expand their wings. While our writing community is built up on our Instagram page, we also offer literary services viz. publishing consultation, book interior and cover designing, proofreading, author branding and book promotions. We announced a poetry contest on our platform in December 2020 and January 2021 based on the theme on Erotica and received an overwhelming response on the same. This book is curated with all the winning entries out of the 200+ odd submissions received. The tricky part of writing 'good' erotica is walking that fine line - erotic poetry can easily get categorized into "crap" or can be too loud, either of which may spoil the effect. One should aim for the reader's arousal and stimulation, through the use of subtle description and implication. Describe the most intimate of acts in a delicate way, to provide the impact of a more graphic description... Create a poem without letting one take umbrage over the ethics of poetry. We are glad to have found some subtle erotica in the pages to follow, each written with much love by the respective writers.
