(1889-1975) Fue un cirujano plástico estadounidense de la Universidad de Columbia. Es autor y creador del Método Psico-Cibernético, un sistema de ideas que él cree que mejora la imagen personal y, por lo tanto, conduce a una vida más plena y satisfactoria. Escribió varios libros, incluido Psicocibernética. Uno de los mayores aportes hechos por ésta la Psicocibernética, es el referente a los hábitos del hombre, más concretamente a los hábitos de comunicación. Este libro de 1960, durante mucho tiempo ha sido un éxito de ventas y ha influido en el trabajo de muchos sucesores en el campo del desarrollo personal. También escribió autobiografía, numerosos libros de autoayuda, una novela y una obra de teatro.
