Federico García Lorca (Fuentevaqueros, Granada, 5 de junio de 1898 – cerca de Víznar, Granada, 18 de agosto de 1936) fue un poeta y dramaturgo español de la Generación del 27, considerado una de las figuras más influyentes de la literatura hispana. Entre sus obras más destacadas se encuentran Poeta en Nueva York, Bodas de sangre, Yerma y La casa de Bernarda Alba. Su legado, truncado por su asesinato al inicio de la Guerra Civil, fusiona modernismo, vanguardia y tradición, y lo consagra como el poeta español más leído del siglo XX.
