April Gadden just finished her four years at Marquette University in Wisconsin and returned home to Udell, Iowa, to be with her grandparents, Sam and Ellen. Now she was ready to enter the real world and begin her life as she had planned. Her papa, Reverend John Gadden, passed away twelve years ago, losing his fight with cancer. Even though April could still remember many of his sermons he gave, there was one lesson he told her that has continued to stay in her mind. His words proved to be true when she received a letter from Princeton, Kentucky, a few days after coming home.
