On behalf of The Carnegie Writers, Inc. (CW), we are honored to publish the first Teen Author (TA) anthology, Occurrimus, Inveniumus, Cruimus. The goal of CW is to continue to provide community-based TA Workshops that impact literacy skills, comprehension, critical thinking, and self-expression. This year, CW hosted two TA Workshops in Nashville at The Green Hills Branch Library and with the youth ministry at Unity Church. The workshops were facilitated by community interns and board members. Workshops promoted the creative process with flexibility, originality, fluency, and elaboration. In addition to the discovery of imaginative writing skills through creative and innovative activities. Activities include icebreakers, team-building, power writing, progressive stories, writing prompts, peer story reviews, peer review sessions, readings, and group discussion. Participants are introduced to poetry, short stories, article writing, and playwrights. The title, book formation, and content of the book was all developed by our Teen Authors. With your support of this book, CW will be able to continue to enhance and promote TA Workshops in the Nashville community and other places.
