Reseña del libro "ObsessEndemic (en Inglés)"
What if humanity's greatest threat wasn't an invading army, a deadly virus, or a natural disaster... but humanity itself? Rob is already questioning his life. His marriage is strained. His family is hundreds of miles away. His job has become routine. London offers distractions, but beneath the surface he knows something is missing. Then, without warning, people begin to change. Ordinary men and women become consumed by strange impulses. Workers abandon their jobs. Friends turn against one another. Obsessions become impossible to resist. Across Britain, behaviour that once seemed unthinkable suddenly becomes normal. And the effects are spreading. Assistant Chief Constable Aadhil Dar finds himself facing a crisis unlike anything he has encountered in his career. Extremism is escalating, the police are struggling to maintain order, and factions that once hated each other are preparing for violence. Meanwhile, Rob and his friend Niko are swept into a bizarre journey through a country where the rules of society are rapidly disappearing. But there is a reason this is happening. Something has decided that humanity has reached its tipping point. It could have chosen plague. Famine. Earthquakes. Instead, it chose something far more disturbing. It chose to change the way people think. As Britain descends into chaos, Rob must confront his own obsessions, his fractured relationships, and the question of what remains when the systems people depend upon collapse. Because perhaps the greatest danger isn't that humanity will destroy itself. Perhaps it's that someone else has decided to save it. ObsessEndemic is a dark, provocative dystopian science fiction thriller about human nature, social collapse, obsession, extremism, community, and the terrifying consequences of trying to reshape humanity from the inside.
