It seems like everywhere you turn these days there is one expert or another who is ready and willing to share with you, 'their' opinions and advice on what makes a happy marriage, and even what to expect in a marriage. And, while there is a lot of truth in their theories, there is also a lot of information that they don't tell you. But don't worry too much because I am going to do just that. My dad called this idea the 'If you knew what you had to do, before you said, "I Do," would you still say "I Do?" theory. Long I know, but who said there was anything easy about marriage. Right? The truth of the matter is that no two marriages are identical in every way, shape, or form. Though most are similar, the majority of marriages are not. And every marriage takes a long list of 'ingredients' for it become successful, for without some or all of these important ingredients, every marriage is doomed to fail.
