It's a book about my river experiences, canoe technique, suggestions to make your canoe trips more enjoyable, survival skills, and what the river and whitewater can teach you. This book is a mixture of practice advice, personal stories, poetry, history, autobiography, a journal, an advocacy for canoeing, with lots of tips and lessons learned from the river on how to live a more enjoyable life. It includes hundreds of canoeing and nature photographs I've taken on the river over the last 25 years.
