Dapo Adeola es un ilustrador, autor y diseñador de personajes británico‑nigeriano muy influyente en la literatura infantil contemporánea. Nacido y criado en Londres, Inglaterra, Adeola se ha destacado por su estilo vibrante que busca desafiar estereotipos de raza y género, así como por su énfasis en la representación inclusiva en los libros para niños.
Su carrera despegó con el éxito de Look Up!, un libro infantil co‑creado e ilustrado junto al escritor Nathan Bryon, publicado por Puffin en 2019. Esta obra fue galardonada con el Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2020 y se convirtió en uno de los debutantes más vendidos del año en el Reino Unido.
Desde entonces, Adeola ha ilustrado varios títulos populares, incluidos My Dad is a Grizzly Bear y My Mum Is a Lioness, ambos con la autora Swapna Haddow, así como We’re Going to Find the Monster! con Malorie Blackman.
