Reseña del libro "Jimmy and James (en Inglés)"

Jimmy and James is a account of the authors experiences during a pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago Francis which he undertook along with three of his good friends. The trip was originality supposed to have been made by the author and is brother Jimmy, but the sudden death of the authors brother shortly before the trip changed those plans. Instead the author ended up carrying his recently deceased brother Jimmy's ashes along with him on the journey and encouraged the thoughts of his brother as a active member of the group. The story is a sometimes humorous account of this group of friends exploits as they make their way across northern Spain on a pilgrimage from Saint Jean Pied-de Port France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain and then on to the "End of the Earth" in Finisterre Spain. Besides recounting the day to day exploits of these intrepid travelers the story included the retelling of many of the stories concerning the history and folklore of the pilgrimage that the group encounters along their journey.During the journey the author, with the aid of his deceased brother "Jimmy" discovers the "James" of the Camino pilgrimage and retells the stories and tales that they encountered during their travels. How they came to know James, Saint James, or Santiago as his is called in Spain from the combination of walking James's pilgrimage and encountering the stories about how this pilgrimage came to be.Besides the stories associated with Saint James in the group also encounters many other tales and folklore associated with this well traveled path. This book retells many of these stories as the are encountered by the group as they walk their way along this pathway. Unbeknownst to these traveler, hermits, warriors, saints, evil queens, dragons, religious miracles, and werewolves await as well as a smattering of history thrown in for good measure.
