Reseña del libro "If Grandpas Grew Like Trees (en Inglés)"

What would happen if grandpas grew as tall and as fast as a tree? That would cause a lot of problems! As Anthony and Grandpa talk about the complications that would arise, they create a tall tale that will make you smile. Meet Anthony. He is almost six years old and loves cats, baseball, and dinosaurs. Most of all, he loves to draw. When he visits his grandparents, he always gets plenty of ideas for his drawings. Meet Grandpa. He delights in telling a story or two to get Anthony's imagination going. All it takes is a walk around the backyard together to stimulate Anthony's questions. As the story unfolds, Anthony feels driven to create a roomful of detailed and surprising drawings. Anthony and Grandpa together create an imaginary adventure that will entertain both adults and children. ____ Author Mary J. Jeswald has her own viewpoint on children's stories: Entertain the adults reading to kids while engaging the kids in a story they can understand. If Grandpas Grew Like Trees demonstrates this commitment to her audience. Artist Antonia Pylaeva created beautiful illustrations of the characters in If Grandpas Grew Like Trees. She said she felt a little challenged when creating the stick figures that a six-year-old would draw, but she succeeded in drawing stick figures that have more personality than you would imagine.
