Reseña del libro "I Guess That's How We Raising Them (en Inglés)"
I Guess That's How We Raising Them explores hidden patterns of impaired parenting through a series of fictional but deeply realistic stories. Each chapter follows a different family struggling with ineffective parenting strategies ranging from emotional neglect, inconsistent discipline, enabling, harsh criticism, inattentive/distracted parenting, excessive permissiveness, labeling, educational neglect, parentification, environmental stress, and poor role-modeling.Due to the ineffectiveness of these parenting strategies, many of the characters demonstrate behavioral challenges such as developing emotional and mental health issues, aggressive and antisocial behavior, low self-esteem, defiant and disruptive behaviors, poor impulse control, emotional dysregulation, academic and cognitive impairment, and conduct issues. As these stories develop, readers are able to see the impact of impaired parenting on children, and how it can quietly begin to shape their identities, choices, and potential futures. After each chapter, the author provides an Author's Note offering concise and practical information regarding what went wrong, why it matters, and how parents can replace harmful habits with more effective and healthier strategies. These strategies are meant to break cycles, heal relationships, and raise children with intention. The book provides parents with both a mirror and a map.I Guess That's How We Raising Them is the first of a three-book series. The second book will provide fictional accounts of 6-8 characters from this volume now in their late teens or young adulthood, showing the long-term impact of impaired parenting. The final book in the series will be a children's book featuring character-driven stories that teach essential skills like emotional regulation, conflict resolution, empathy/emotional intelligence, respecting boundaries, and managing stress.
