This booklet is gathering a long two days discussion with David B. Sutcliffe in january 2015 and an essay on him, his schools, Kurt Hahn and the idea in general. This work was done in order to transmit and explore first hand David B. Sutcliffe's legacy. "hommage - to pioneers. David B. Sutcliffe" ist ein Interview mit David B. Sutcliffe und ein Essay über ihn. Sutcliffe ist eine prägende Figur der United World Colleges und steht in unmittelbarer Nachfolge zu Kurt Hahn. In dem Band wird das beispielhafte Wirken der beiden erforscht, samt der Schulidee, die immer noch hochaktuell ist. Der Band ist ein Auszug aus dem Buch "Alt x jung = neu", einer Hommage an die Elterngeneration der Autoren mit Vertretern von ihr, Menschen, die ein Leben lang an einem Faden, Thema arbeiten, üben und diesen nie aus den Augen verloren haben, im Alter weiter dranbleiben, trotz aller Widrigkeiten.
