Reseña del libro "High Maintenance (en Inglés)"
She’s fighting to save her town. He’s fighting to own it. But his freezing touch is the only thing that silences her pain. Holland Knox’s body is actively betraying her. For two years, she has survived the brutal, never ending blizzards of Amaranth Falls by battling crippling chronic pain, armed with nothing but oversized pink fleece, highly specialized cannabis, and a lethal dose of weaponized spite. As the isolated, blue collar town’s unofficial attack dog, she defends her eccentric neighbors from any threat via sheer stubbornness and endless municipal red tape. Enter Cas Nyquist. He is a towering, arrogant billionaire who just glided into her historic downtown in a silent glass car, demanding to annex her fiercely protected sanctuary. He is cold, calculating, and accustomed to total submission. Holland is ready to bury him in zoning violations. But there is something unnatural about the icy corporate developer. Every time Cas steps into her space, the agonizing, static like fire in Holland's nerves inexplicably vanishes. His suffocating, freezing presence is the only thing that provides her broken body with miraculous relief. As their bitter bureaucratic war escalates into an intensely intimate battle of wills, Cas decides he doesn't just want the town, he wants her. And he is willing to aggressively take over her recovery to prove it. With a mysterious, dangerous threat looming on the town's horizon and her fiercely guarded independence slipping away, Holland must decide whether to keep fighting the terrifying man trying to buy her home, or surrender to the intoxicating, healing cold he brings with him. Amaranth Falls: High Maintenance is the first book in a spicy, slow burn canna romantasy featuring chronic illness representation, an aggressively overprotective billionaire, forced proximity, and a heroine with enough weaponized spite to level a city.
