This handbook is the first and most important step towards an initiatory ordination of anyone seeking to be Godar for their Tribe or Kindred. The Guild of Forn Sed Hearthfire's process is different from any other contemporary "Pagan-Clergy" program available in Heathenry today. Instead of "teaching" a person the basics of Heathenry, of our Lore, or of the understanding of Traditional Living Heathenry as a Spiritual leader; we (as per Tradition) are seeking to initiate an adept and proficient leader of their heathen community, thereby becoming acknowledged through Heathen Elders who have been Godar for many years. Someone beginning their exploration of Living Heathenry might not be ready for such a commitment as being a Godi or Gydja, but they can work through what is required to understand methodically, finding new ideas and exploring them as fully as they are able. This course is for the experienced practitioner of Living Heathenry as each participant can find clues and reminders in the material that will encourage deeper exploration, passing over some elements and reaching into others. It must be said, this course is designed for an individual to be able to access and explore their scope of understanding in a self-guided manner. However, through this 3 book compilation is a through guide to the needed experience, support and discovery of a true Godar initiation.
