Her stories include situations where characters are reminded of loved ones that have passed away, former homeowners that have died tragically, or evil spirits trying to disrupt and 'intruders' presence. The language in all of the stories creates a colorful and vivid setting for the reader to immerse themselves in the story lines and eerie events. Often the author inserts whimsical interactions between a main character and alien or spirit world creature, lending levity to the plot. Other stories focus on the terror felt by the protagonist.
