Reseña del libro "Forgotten Exorcisms (en Inglés)"

Not everything that is told to leave obeys. In Sicily, an exorcist who trusts almost none of his thirty-seven exorcisms performs one that works, and learns what comes after the rite. In an Arizona backyard on Thanksgiving night, a family tells the story of a man who couldn't lose, while a young gambler watches his last bet play out on a silent phone. In England, a heart-transplant patient dreams of a blue room, and so, one by one, do the other people who received the same donor's tissue. In Mumbai, a lawyer known for clearing buildings is hired to evict a dead man from Apartment 14C. In the mountains of Croatia, a mine-clearance officer is asked to make a church bell safe. At a data company where nothing is ever deleted, a gap opens in the archive that will not stay empty. On a container ship crossing the North Atlantic, objects recovered from a 1924 wreck start making the crew remember lives that were never theirs. Beneath Alexandria, a tunnel drill strikes a chamber that should not exist. In São Paulo, a banker inherits a contract from 1913 that has never stopped charging interest. And in a Portuguese village about to disappear under a reservoir, a forensic anthropologist opens the priest's grave and finds nine children inside. Forgotten Exorcisms collects ten original horror stories about rites that failed, rites that worked at a price, and the ordinary places where possession learns to take shape: hospitals, courtrooms, servers, ships, banks and parish graves. They are stories of faith and procedure, guilt and inheritance, and the things that refuse to leave. They are precise and unsettling, and they leave a mark. Forgotten Exorcisms is Volume 8 of The Dread Archive, a series of standalone horror anthologies by J.H.M. Bandeira. Each volume can be read on its own, in any order.
