Here we go again, welcome to book number nine. Book 10 is in the works, and it is a kiddy coloring book titled "The ABC's of Food." If you have kids or work with them, I hope you'll check out the book. I've lived in Port Charlotte, Florida for 50 years as of February 2018. Many of those years were spent as a speech therapist for the CCPS. Altogether I spent 40 plus years doing speech therapy in the public schools in Indiana and Florida. After retiring I became a member of the local retired educators' group and a couple of writing groups, as well as doing volunteer work. I had always wanted to be a published author and my wish was granted when my first book, "Odds & Ends, Bits & Pieces" was published in 2011, with the help of Paul Holmes, who jokingly claims to be the grandson of Sherlock. Paul has gone on to give a helping hand to many other writers who desire to become published but not pay an arm and a leg to get there. So that's why so many local writers go to Createspace.com for the book publications. If you have a desire to be published, check this out.Now back to my writing. Since my first book, I have written two kiddy books and the other books have been a mix of humor in poetry and short story form. Also included is a bite of food for thought and other items I felt might be of interest to my readers.Thank you for your support and continuing to tell me to keep on writing when I say maybe I'll not write any more. Also thanks to my tech assistant, Lisa Ashley, who has stuck by me with her knowledge and helping hand throughout most of my books. You are greatly appreciated, as many other writers who need assistance can testify. Not only do you give me a helping hand in publishing my books, but I also appreciate your friendship.
