In this book we describe a design methodology of a dynamic converter with electromagnetic switches, dedicated to the electric traction. The design gait rests on the development of an analytic model providing the manufacturing data of this converter. This design approach takes in account of the interactions between the control strategy and the electric motor design procedure. Finally, the design gait is validated by the finite element method, and the functionality of the global system is verified by simulations of the power train global model based on the vectorial control, minimizing the energy consumption of the electric vehicle.
