DEAD MEN CAN'T FLYDetective Lee is sent out to the Alabama countryside to investigate a dead body perched in the top of a tree. He can find no clues as to how the body got up into the tree, but a shabby wino claims that an old Mrs. Brown, who lives close by, is the murderer. Visiting the sweet little old lady, Lee finds it impossible to believe that she could harm anyone and sets out to solve the mystery and to protect the old lady. The mystery heightens as another body is found in a tree, and Lee's partner is killed in the same way. Lee is taken off the case and replaced by a couple of detectives from Birmingham but is back on the case after one of the detective's body is found in a tree, and the other detective left in traumatic shock. It is apparently the work of some mysterious creature, and Lee sets up a stakeout to catch the killer. Not only does Lee unravel the mystery, but he finds a beautiful surprise in store for him.
