Buster and the Magic Star - A Cat and Dog Adventure Story The story begins 10,000 years ago when cats and humans first began to live together in the early farming settlements of the ancient Near East and then jumps ahead to modern times and recounts the adventures of a cat named Buster. After a difficult kittenhood, Buster manages to find a good home, but a year later he becomes lost in the woods of eastern Canada. Injured in a horned owl attack, and left unable to hunt, the young cat wanders lost and starving until he meets a beautiful Tabby named Juliette. They fall in love but too soon Buster is run off by a gun-toting cat-hater. He searches for his home, but doesn't know the way until he sees the 'Magic Star', a star-cat relic from ancient Babylon that points him in the right direction. With winter fast approaching, the final stages of his return voyage are fraught with danger. The story is punctuated by a historical narrative that highlights the saga of domestic cats and their 10,000-year-long association with humans.
