Broken is a fast-paced crime thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat, wanting more. Drawing on my experience in psychology and interest in crime I take you, the reader, on a journey you won’t forget. During the first three chapters the relationship dynamics of the two main characters are set in place. You are then taken back in time to meet the antagonist, a dark soul who’s set on an early path to become a sexual predator. Despite not giving graphic details, you are certainly aware of what is going on in the story-line at any given point. With plenty of twists and turns along the way, when you think you’ve caught up with what’s happening you are in for another surprise. Dramatic scenes are plentiful and some of the ordeals of the victims will have you thinking about human behaviour and just how evil some individuals are. Kate and Sam, our protagonist duo, delve into undercover work to save a kidnapped woman. They are met with conspiracy stemming from the top. They fight their way through some tough situations, need to judge who they can trust and are short on time. Will they get a step ahead? Will Sam’s past catch up with him and hinder the investigation?
