We compared the clinical and radiographic results and complication rates of reinserting the labrum at the anterior glenoid edge with metal and polyester anchors in anterior shoulder instability.An observational study carried out between 2014 and 2018 evaluating 62 patients undergoing arthroscopic treatment for recurrent shoulder dislocation. The patients were divided into 2 groups in which fabric or metal anchors were used. Functional and radiographic evaluations were carried out and compared.The use of metal or polyester anchors proved to be safe with a correct technique, with a high success rate and low complication rate. There were no clinical or radiographic differences between the two methods, although there was a greater possibility of complications related to metal anchors.
