John O'Donohue (1956-2008) fue un poeta, filósofo y sacerdote irlandés, reconocido por su labor en la difusión de la espiritualidad celta. Nacido en una familia de habla gaélica en el condado de Clare, Irlanda, desarrolló una profunda conexión con el paisaje y la cultura de su tierra natal. Obtuvo un doctorado en Teología Filosófica en la Universidad de Tübingen, Alemania, con estudios postdoctorales sobre el místico medieval Meister Eckhart.
