This is the newly revised and updated workbook that led the Madison. Wisc. police department through 12 successful years of transformation. Originally published within the department for internal leadership training. Then used as a training book during 3-day leadership sessions taught around the country by Chief David Couper for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in the 1980s and 90s. Today, the workbook continues to be one of the most important "how-to-do-it" texts on transforming a police organization and its style of leadership and is used in Couper's university course on police leadership in changing times. It depicts what can be called today as The New Leadership.
