A Day of True Life

At dawn the light kissed leaf and vine,

And all the earth received the shine.

No hunger pressed, no work of fear,

For fruit was near and joy was here.

The trees leaned low with gifts of sweet,

No toil required, no striving feat.

Hands reached in peace to gather more,

Each taste a blessing from the core.

The sun rode high; the shade was cool,

And hearts sat calm, the world their school.

Children climbed limbs and learned the song

Of life that flows forever long.

The afternoon brought craft and play,

In woven cloth or carved array.

Each motion free, each thought held light,

Creation danced within their sight.

As evening fell, the sky ablaze,

They walked the paths of golden rays.

Baskets full, the day complete,

The land had given, pure and sweet.

Then night embraced the gentle ground,

The stars looked down without a sound.

And life was whole, and hearts were free,

In harmony with all they see.
