Reseña del libro "Marvel Comics Library. X-Men. Vol. 1. 1963–1966 (en Inglés)"

The stories of the early years laid the foundation for what made the civil rights; Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast and Iceman find safety in their group despite the challenges they face for being different from others; and Professor Xavier prepares them to face off against his ideological enemy, Magneto, who has formed a Brotherhood of Evil Mutants to take the fight for self-preservation directly to humanity.

While all this was developing, Lee and Kirby, who were dedicated to the cause of making Marvel the leading publisher in the world of comics, introduced a collection of villains and secondary characters that would become the pillars of Marvel and its tradition: superpowered siblings Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch; the formidable Mancha; the unstoppable Juggernaut; Ka-Zar, the jungle dweller of the Savage Land; Strange, the demigod of the stars; and Bolivar Trask and his army of mutant-hunting sentinels. And as Lee and Kirby ushered in new talent to fill new corners of the Marvel Universe, veteran Atlas-era artist Werner Roth teamed up with newcomer writer and future X-Men legend Roy Thomas to get started. his long history with the team.

Similar in size to the original works, this XXL edition presents the first 21 stories, published from 1963 to 1966, of our favorite eccentric superheroes. Immaculate original copies have been opened and photographed for reproduction in close collaboration with Marvel and Certified Guarantee Company. Each page has been photographed exactly as it was printed over half a century ago and then digitally remastered using modern retouching techniques to correct problems with the cheap and imperfect printing of the era... As if coming from a world-class printing press category from the 1960s. Three different types of paper have been developed exclusively for this series, one of them uncoated and another without wood, to simulate the feel of the original comics.

In addition to these reference stories, there is an original prologue written by the mind behind the modern X-Men, Chris Claremont, that relives the heyday of Lee and Kirby's founding years, and an in-depth essay by the screenwriter of the X-Men, Fabian Nicieza, along with original artwork, photographs and memorabilia from X's early years.
