Before the pandemic, the advancement of technology and the social media craze of the twenty-first-century seemed to have caused letter writing to become archaic. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting with the ones we care about changed the trajectory of our lives Such a much-needed ministry of encouragement can be easily overlooked. Letter writing is one of the most personal methods of communication and one that is extremely rewarding for the scribe as well as the recipient. With the increase of evil, tragedy, and unpleasantness in our society, encouragement is a good ministry that is needful for this generation. If good is lost, the possibility of something not so good will substitute. Does that mean advanced technology is not good? No. Does it mean that we do not change with the advancement of times and adopt new methods to stay connected with family, friends, business and ministry partners? Of course not! However, at the same time, we must remember it is so easy to disengage emotionally, disconnect spiritually, or be personable if the only means of communicating is through mechanical or technological means. Engaging in any kind of community is vital to the substantiality and sustainability of the community. The same is true in the religious community, which is the focus of this book. We are a community of Christian believers and followers of Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25 admonishes us to think of ways to motivate one another through acts of love and good works; and not to neglect meeting together. As a community of faith walkers, we are to encourage one another, especially now that the day of Christ's return is drawing near. What better way to motivate and encourage one another than with written communication? Writing is one of the most rewarding and effective methods of communication. This is evident from the Holy Scriptures written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. Until this day, we are rewarded because God chose to communicate His truths to us in written form. There are many reasons for writing, but the primary purpose for writing this book is to inspire you. The letters in this book are useful for personal reading pleasure as well as writing to others. They are sincere expressions from my heart to minister to the emotional and spiritual needs of the reader. They will minister comfort and encouragement so that you may have the stamina to overcome the everyday challenges of life. They also serve as a guide to express your concerns, heartfelt thoughts, and feelings toward others.
