Bill Keane is hired to investigate a company called Pacific Clarity working on artificial intelligence in Las Vegas. His employer, Richard Hall wants to know if it's worthy of investing billions or simply a scam. Throughout his investigations, Bill himself must wonder, is he onto the greatest invention of humanity or its biggest con. When Bill meets employees of Pacific Clarity, he finds a group of geniuses who offer to place an implant in his head to communicate with the machine with artificial intelligence called GOD. This is the only way the machine can understand and mimic human thought processes. Meanwhile Bill falls in love with a casino bartender who tries to convince him not to. When she suddenly disappears, his employer hints that the only way he will ever find her is to get the implant.
