Reseña del libro "Dreamer of Dreams: Imagination's Love (en Inglés)"
Lev Amani, a new college graduate disillusioned by U.S.-led wars post-9/11, travels from New York to the refugee camps of Dadaab, Kenya in search of a meaningful life dedicated to social justice. There, he finds Ayesha Nurani, a young woman who, like countless other people, had to flee from the horrific violence plaguing Somalia. Ayesha now leads community efforts to stop innumerable abuses in the refugee camps and ongoing atrocities in Somalia as part of a grassroots group, Nabáda. As Lev follows Ayesha's and Nabáda's leadership and their friendship and community grows, they encounter the horrors of war, torture, injustice, inequality, and profound loss. At the same time, they also experience love, hope, the resilience of the human spirit, and the capacity for people to collectively help one another and challenge oppression. Through their increasingly intertwined, heartbreaking and inspirational life journeys, Lev and Ayesha show us what it can mean to dream, imagine beyond our current realities, and struggle with others toward peace, love, and community.
