Life during a pandemic is not normal. Kids will have good days, bad days, and everything in between. "When the Germies Are Gone" is a colorfully illustrated book that takes a fun approach, but aims to portray the hopes, anxiousness, and wide range of emotions felt by children during these uncertain times. Directly inspired (right down to the title) by the author's own children, the book is hopeful and silly whenever possible, and addresses changing feelings and moods in a very relatable way.
